Architectural Technician – Offaly

A busy and growing architectural practice in Offaly is looking to appoint an Architectural Technician to support the delivery of a strong pipeline of residential and commercial projects. This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys the technical side of projects and wants to take ownership of drawing production and on-site coordination.

The Role

This is a hands-on technical role focused on the production and coordination of construction information. You will work closely with architects and consultants to ensure accurate and compliant project delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

Producing high-quality working drawings, detailing, and technical packages

Developing and maintaining BIM models using Revit

Preparing planning and tender drawing sets

Coordinating information with engineers, consultants, and contractors

Assisting with BCAR documentation and compliance

Carrying out site visits to monitor progress and resolve technical queries

Updating drawings to reflect design changes and site conditions

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Architectural Technology or similar

3+ years’ experience in an Irish architectural practice

Strong Revit skills (essential) with working knowledge of AutoCAD

Solid understanding of Irish building regulations and construction methods

Experience producing detailed construction drawings

Good communication skills and ability to work within a team

Desirable

Experience with BCAR processes and on-site coordination

Knowledge of residential apartment schemes or mixed-use developments

Familiarity with BIM standards and workflows
