Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Based primarily at our Meath head office with hybrid working options, you will oversee one or more projects, support feasibility studies and budgeting for new developments, and provide commercial leadership to project teams.

Location: Meath/ Hybrid
Reporting to: Surveying Director

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of quantity surveying and estimating.
• Oversee project cost control and financial reporting.
• Prepare payment applications, valuations, and cost reports.
• Manage procurement and contract administration.
• Monitor costs, assess variations, and ensure value for money.
• Develop and manage supplier and subcontractor relationships.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
• Lead commercial aspects of tenders and financial assessments.
• Support and mentor junior QS team members.
• Report project performance and risk analysis to senior management.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in a similar role with a main contractor.
• Residential project experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and relevant legislation.
• Proven ability to deliver profitable projects.
• Excellent IT, numeracy, and communication skills.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Full clean European driving licence and access to transport.
• Professional, organised, and capable of working to deadlines in a team environment.
• Professional membership of a recognised institution is desirable.
