Quantity Surveyor – Wexford

Role Summary & Requirements

The Quantity Surveyor will play an important role within the project delivery team, supporting the commercial management and financial performance of assigned projects while working closely with project management and the wider commercial team.

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related discipline.
  • 2–5 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying or a relevant commercial role.
  • Experience within construction, civil engineering or related sectors desirable.
  • Good understanding of cost management, procurement and contract administration.
  • Strong organisational, numerical and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant QS/commercial software.
  • Chartered or working towards chartership is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with project cost control, valuations, forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Support procurement, tendering and subcontractor appointments.
  • Manage subcontract packages, including payments, variations, claims and final accounts.
  • Assist with main contract administration, valuations and change management.
  • Prepare and contribute to monthly cost reports, CVRs and cash flow forecasts.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Assist with measurement, cost planning and value engineering.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, clients, consultants and subcontractors.
  • Maintain accurate commercial records and reporting.
  • Contribute to the successful commercial delivery of projects.
