Electrical Lead – Life Sciences

Limerick | Major Pharmaceutical / Life Sciences Project | Permanent

A leading Tier 1 main contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead to join their Life Sciences team in Limerick, working on a major-scale pharmaceutical project.

This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Ireland's most respected construction companies and work on a high-profile life sciences project, with a strong pipeline of major projects across Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe.

As Electrical Lead, you will play a key role in the overall delivery of the electrical systems, working closely with the Project Director, MEP Lead and Engineering Management team to ensure all electrical works are designed, installed, tested and commissioned to the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance.

About the Role

The Electrical Lead will provide technical and managerial leadership across the electrical delivery of the project, ensuring programme, budget, safety, quality and regulatory requirements are met.

You will work collaboratively across engineering, construction, commissioning and client teams, with responsibility for driving the successful delivery of electrical systems within a highly regulated environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent technical qualification
  • Proven experience leading electrical delivery on large-scale pharmaceutical, life sciences or Tier 1 construction projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of LV/MV distribution, critical power and life safety systems
  • Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements for electrical works
  • Relevant health and safety training, such as Safe Pass, CSCS or equivalent

Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical, data centre or advanced technology projects would be highly desirable, along with knowledge of commissioning, integrated system testing (IST), BIM and digital project delivery.

Chartered Engineer status or working towards professional membership, as well as experience with GMP, cleanroom or other regulated-environment requirements, would also be advantageous.
