Warehouse Operative

Location: Castlebar

Our client is a leading tiling retailer across Ireland over the last 50 years. They specialise in ceramic and porcelain tiles and are seeking a Warehouse Operative to join their experienced team in Castlebar.

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join the team, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately, stock is handled safely, and goods are received and dispatched efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and picking customer orders accurately for collection and delivery.
• Managing goods inwards and outwards, including checking deliveries, loading and unloading vehicles, and reporting discrepancies or damaged stock.
• Operating a forklift safely to move, load, and unload stock throughout the warehouse.
• Maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring tiles and other products are stored safely and correctly.
• Keeping the warehouse clean, tidy, and organised while adhering to health and safety procedures and supporting general warehouse operations.

What you will need

• Previous warehouse experience is essential
• A valid forklift licence and practical experience operating a forklift
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices, including safe manual handling
• Physically capable of carrying out warehouse duties, with appropriate equipment and safe handling procedures in place.
