Setting out Engineer

Salary & benefits: Salary of up to €65,000 + Company Vehicle, Fuel Allowance, Pension & Bonus

We are recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a team delivering a major restoration and expansion project on a prestigious 5-star Heritage Estate in Clare.

This programme runs for approximately 12 months and is part of a broader wave of regional development ahead of a major global sporting event taking place locally, creating long‑term opportunities in the area.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading accurate setting out for groundworks, foundations, superstructures and external site finishes using modern survey technology.
• Managing technical documentation, reviewing design proposals and resolving technical queries
• Overseeing subcontractors, reviewing RAMS and promoting high standards on site, ensuring work aligns with building regulations, project specs and safety guidelines.
• Maintaining site records, monitoring progress against program and working closely with the Project Manager to meet key milestones.

What We’re Looking For:

• A relevant Third-level degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 2-5 years as a site engineer
