Electrical Estimator - Dublin

A leading global, multi-disciplined engineering and construction company with turnover of over one billion Euro are seeking an Electrical Estimator.
They provide a wide range of construction services to infrastructure sectors including rail, water, power and natural resources. This company directly employs more than 4,000 engineers, professional managers and skilled operatives across the world. They operate in Ireland, the United Kingdom and Canada.

Duties:

• Attending project start-up meetings and make site visits.
• Producing enquiry schedules for scope of works packages required from the tender documentation, drawings and specifications issued.
• Evaluate returned quotations from suppliers and where necessary enters into correspondence with suppliers to bring quotations in line with the project specification requirements.
• Prepare BOQ for scopes of projects on estimating programs.
• Attend tender price settlement meetings in the presence of the tender team with Estimating
• Manager, Attend Tender Handover meetings in the presence of Estimators and projects team.
• Make tender amendments where applicable utilising client feedback on submitted tenders.
• Tendering on a variety of HV/MV/LV large-scale projects.

You will need:

• Experience in an Electrical contracting environment is essential
• A relevant third level degree and/or an trade background
• A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
