Design Manager

Location: North Dublin Area
Contract: Full-time

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to manage and coordinate the design stage of multiple design-and-build projects.

The successful candidate will have a strong construction design background, excellent communication skills, and a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate design teams to deliver cost-effective, compliant solutions.
• Manage the design process, documentation and associated programmes.
• Liaise with site teams, contractors, clients and other stakeholders.
• Ensure client requirements and project objectives are met.
• Review drawings, specifications, technical reports and 3D models.
• Conduct design reviews and identify potential issues at an early stage.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant regulations, standards and legislation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in design practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in design management, design coordination or a similar role.
• Significant experience with residential construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations and construction standards.
• Ability to interpret design documentation, drawings and 3D models.
• Proven ability to manage design programmes and meet deadlines.
• Main contractor experience desirable.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Project.
• Relevant qualification in engineering, architecture, construction or a related discipline.
• Full Irish driving licence.
