CAD/BIM Technician

Location: North Dublin

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD/BIM Technician to join a building contractor based in North Dublin. The role involves producing technical drawings, developing BIM models and supporting project teams in the delivery of residential and commercial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and update 2D CAD drawings and 3D BIM models.

• Prepare construction, setting-out and as-built drawings.

• Coordinate architectural, structural and MEP drawings.

• Liaise with site teams, architects, engineers and subcontractors.

• Maintain drawing registers, revisions and project documentation.

• Assist with BIM coordination, clash detection and technical queries.

• Carry out site visits to verify dimensions and construction details.

Requirements

• Qualification in CAD, BIM, Architectural Technology or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

• Experience in a construction or building contractor environment.

• Knowledge of construction drawings, building regulations and BIM processes.

• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
