Senior HVAC Design Lead - Swords, Dublin (Hybrid role/Flexible working hours)

You will join an expanding contractor that delivers the most prestigious Fit Out, Data Centre and Refurbishment projects in Ireland. You will be responsible for:

  • Act as the primary HVAC/Mechanical lead for projects, representing the company in relevant meetings and ensuring alignment with client and industry standards.
  • Oversee and develop detailed mechanical/HVAC system designs, ensuring they are cost-effective, meet project budgets, and are delivered on time with the required quality.
  • Manage, mentor, and guide the mechanical engineering team, ensuring their work aligns with project goals and supports the broader business objectives.
  • Assist in tendering and bid preparation for Design Build contracts by developing design information and ensuring it aligns with project requirements.
  • Track and monitor HVAC design budgets, ensuring designs stay within budget, and lead value engineering exercises when necessary to reduce costs.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team, staying updated on industry trends and implementing process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.

You will need to have:

  • Building Services or Mechanical Engineering qualification
  • 5 years+ experience ideally working on pharmaceutical projects
  • Knowledge & experience of developing design for projects in Cleanroom facilities. 
  • MEP Software including BIM
