Job Description

Project Manager - Mayo

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality projects. These may include new housing developments, bespoke one-off homes, and residential extensions or refurbishments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the full construction cycle, excellent leadership skills, and hands-on experience with project planning tools — including AutoCAD for reviewing and interpreting drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full project lifecycle for residential builds from site setup to client hand over.

  • Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery.

  • Review architectural and engineering drawings (including using AutoCAD) for accuracy, buildability, and compliance.

  • Ensure compliance with Irish Building Regulations, BCAR, and HSA standards.

  • Oversee site progress, perform regular quality inspections, and ensure safety protocols are followed.

  • Chair site meetings and liaise with clients, architects, and consultants.

  • Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement, and site documentation.

  • Resolve site issues and technical challenges efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption.

  • Deliver finished homes to a snag-free standard with a focus on client satisfaction.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in a residential project management role.

  • Strong understanding of the Irish residential construction process and standards.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD – capable of reading, interpreting, and making minor revisions to architectural and structural drawings.

  • Familiarity with planning regulations and local authority compliance in Ireland.

  • Proven experience leading subcontractor teams and supervising multiple trades.

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, both on and off-site.

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, MS Project, and construction software (e.g., Procore, CoConstruct).

  • Full, clean driving licence.
