Plant Manager (Construction) – Galway

Package:

• Salary up to €60,000 (DOE)

We are recruiting a Plant Manager for a leading main contractor based in Galway. This is a senior operational role responsible for managing all plant, fleet, and site logistics to support multiple live construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Plant Department.

• Coordinate site mobilisation and demobilisation, including cranes, accommodation, telehandlers, and temporary facilities.

• Manage owned and hired plant to maximise utilisation and control costs.

• Oversee maintenance, repairs, and lifecycle planning of plant and equipment.

• Manage plant suppliers and subcontractors, including sourcing and rate negotiation.

• Manage company fleet, transport logistics, fuel cards, tolls, insurance, and compliance.

• Ensure compliance with RSA and all relevant transport and safety regulations.

• Support tender pricing for plant and logistics requirements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in plant, fleet, or equipment management within construction or civil engineering.

• Strong commercial and cost control skills.

• Good knowledge of plant equipment and construction logistics.

• Strong organisational and communication skills.
