Design and Engineering Lead - Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath

Our client who are Irelands leading Modular Building Company are seeking a Design Lead to join their team. This company focus on four key Irish industry sectors which they believe benefit most for modular construction methods – Education, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical & Commercial. They provide solutions to suit large scale temporary, hybrid and permanent projects lasting over 60 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the design process and documentation across multiple projects from early-stage concept to handover.
  • Manage a multidisciplinary team, providing support and guidance to team members, while disseminating workload.
  • Act as the primary design liaison between internal teams, consultants, suppliers, and clients for all design-related matters.
  • Oversee coordination between architectural, structural, MEP, and manufacturing design disciplines.
  • Ensure design output complies with relevant Building Regulations, planning requirements, and statutory approvals.
  • Provide expertise and coordinate with internal departments across the construction and manufacturing teams relating to design timelines.
  • Drive innovation in modular design.
  • Lead ISO 19650 and NSAI Agrement Cert compliance.
  • Review and sign off design drawings, specifications, schedules, and BIM models.
  • Support value engineering initiatives while maintaining design integrity and compliance.
  • Manage design risks, identify clashes, and resolve technical issues early.

You will need:

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
  • Professional accreditation (RIBA, CIAT, ICE, IStructE, CIBSE) – desirable
  • 5+ years previous experience in Construction Design
  • Previous experience in Management is essential
