Senior Quantity Surveyor – Dublin City Centre

A leading Tier 1 main contractor is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a high-profile hotel development in Dublin city centre. This is a key leadership role on a landmark project, offering the opportunity to take full commercial ownership while working within a well-established contractor known for delivering complex, high-quality builds.

The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full responsibility for the commercial and contractual management of the project. You will lead all cost-related activities, manage project financial performance, and support junior team members.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading the preparation of budgets, cost plans, and detailed estimates

Managing the full procurement process and subcontractor accounts

Preparing, negotiating, and agreeing interim valuations and final accounts

Monitoring costs, cash flow, and financial reporting to senior management

Managing client relationships and acting as the main commercial point of contact

Attending and contributing to design team and site meetings

Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities

Mentoring and supporting junior Quantity Surveyors

Requirements

Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline

7+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, with experience at Senior QS level or ready to step up

Strong track record managing subcontractors, contracts, and client relationships

Experience on large-scale residential, commercial, or hospitality projects

Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation, and leadership skills
