Company Accountant – Construction – Longford

Join a well-established Midlands-based contractor who are currently seeking an experienced Company Accountant to join their team. With decades of experience delivering projects across healthcare, education, residential and private developments, this company offers a supportive and positive working environment where your contribution will be valued.
This is a key position within the business, taking responsibility for the company’s finance function while also supporting the day-to-day operations of the office.
Your role will involve:
- Managing the company’s day-to-day accounts and financial operations
- Preparing management accounts and financial reports
- Overseeing invoicing, accounts payable and receivable
- Processing payroll and liaising with Revenue (ROS)
- Working with Sage accounts packages and maintaining accurate financial records
- Monitoring cashflow and assisting with budgeting processes
- Managing company administration including fleet, insurance and office-related matters
- Supporting the Director and wider team with financial and operational matters
What you will need:
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar finance or accounting role
- Strong experience with accounts systems and financial reporting
- Payroll experience and familiarity with ROS
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Strong IT and Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
