Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Reinforced Concrete (RC) Technician to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will produce high-quality reinforced concrete drawings and models for a variety of residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and infrastructure projects. Working closely with structural engineers, you will ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated, and delivered in accordance with project deadlines and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Produce reinforced concrete general arrangement and detailing drawings.

Prepare reinforcement detailing and bar bending schedules where required.

Develop accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, or other BIM software.

Coordinate structural drawings with architectural and MEP disciplines.

Revise drawings in response to engineer and client comments.

Maintain drawing registers and document control procedures.

Ensure compliance with relevant Eurocodes, Irish Building Regulations, and company CAD/BIM standards.

Assist with clash detection and model coordination during design development.

Support project teams in meeting programme milestones and client deliverables.

Participate in design coordination meetings when required.

Essential Qualifications

Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline.

Minimum 2 years' experience in reinforced concrete detailing or structural CAD drafting.

Proficiency in AutoCAD.

Experience with Revit Structure or BIM software.

Strong understanding of reinforced concrete construction and structural drawings.

Good communication and organisational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
