Senior Quantity Surveyor - Wexford
Role Summary & Requirements
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be a key member of the project delivery team, taking ownership of commercial management and project finances while supporting project leadership and mentoring junior staff.
- Degree in Construction Economics, Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
- 4–5 years’ experience at Senior QS level.
- Proven track record delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Chartered MSCSI/MRICS or working towards chartership.
- Strong commercial, organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant QS/commercial software.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage risk, value engineering, cost control and commercial performance across assigned projects.
- Support procurement strategy, tendering and subcontractor appointments, including preparation of tender documentation and analysis of returns.
- Manage subcontract packages, including interim payments, claims, final accounts and retention.
- Support main contract administration, including valuations, final accounts, variations, claims and change management.
- Identify and manage variations in line with contractual requirements and notification procedures.
- Support monthly cost reporting, CVRs, cash flow, preliminaries and materials updates.
- Assess and quantify the impact of delay and disruption.
- Identify, analyse and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
- Mentor and support junior and project-level Quantity Surveyors.
