Senior Quantity Surveyor - Wexford

Role Summary & Requirements

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be a key member of the project delivery team, taking ownership of commercial management and project finances while supporting project leadership and mentoring junior staff.

  • Degree in Construction Economics, Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
  • 4–5 years’ experience at Senior QS level.
  • Proven track record delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Chartered MSCSI/MRICS or working towards chartership.
  • Strong commercial, organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant QS/commercial software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage risk, value engineering, cost control and commercial performance across assigned projects.
  • Support procurement strategy, tendering and subcontractor appointments, including preparation of tender documentation and analysis of returns.
  • Manage subcontract packages, including interim payments, claims, final accounts and retention.
  • Support main contract administration, including valuations, final accounts, variations, claims and change management.
  • Identify and manage variations in line with contractual requirements and notification procedures.
  • Support monthly cost reporting, CVRs, cash flow, preliminaries and materials updates.
  • Assess and quantify the impact of delay and disruption.
  • Identify, analyse and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Mentor and support junior and project-level Quantity Surveyors.
