Are you an experienced Senior Engineer looking for the opportunity to take the lead on major construction projects with one of Ireland’s leading main contractors?
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established contractor delivering some of Dublin’s most significant and high-profile developments. With a strong pipeline of live projects, the company is looking to add an experienced Senior Engineer to its team.

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrates a strong understanding of dimensional control and is confident working with global and local coordinate systems, including the rotation of global grids into local grid formats.

Takes responsibility for ensuring that Site Engineers and Graduate Engineers properly manage, maintain and use surveying equipment.

Ensures the engineering team carries out accurate as-built surveys for critical elements of the project. Understands required tolerances and can assess interfaces between different elements to identify potential issues before they develop.

Maintains an accurate daily diary documenting key activities, progress and relevant site information.

Demonstrates a strong understanding of quality control requirements across a wide range of construction packages. Able to review and develop Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), with a detailed understanding of key packages including concrete, drainage, steelwork and brickwork.

Has a thorough understanding of project specifications and the required tolerances for both vertical and horizontal structural elements.

Manages the Non-Conformance process effectively, including the identification, recording and close-out of NCRs. Understands the potential cost and programme implications of defects and remedial works and actively works to ensure issues are resolved within the required timescales.

Competent in the preparation and issuing of Permits to Break Ground, ensuring the appropriate controls are in place before works commence.

Confident in reviewing and preparing method statements and risk assessments, ensuring they accurately reflect the planned construction activities and associated risks.

Proactively identifies gaps or missing information and has a strong understanding of the project RFI process, ensuring queries are raised and resolved efficiently to avoid delays on site.
Requirements:
- Relevant Third level degree in engineering or similar
- 3+ years site-based experience
