We are a well-established contractor delivering high-quality housing developments. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Engineer to join our team on current and upcoming residential projects.

Role Summary:

The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing engineering operations on-site, with a focus on setting out, surveying, and managing groundworks crews. Experience with Uisce Éireann standards and procedures is essential, along with a proven track record in the residential construction sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate setting out and surveying for house plots, drainage, foundations, and roadways.
  • Oversee groundworks activities, ensuring work is carried out according to drawings, specifications, and timelines.
  • Liaise with Uisce Éireann on water and wastewater installations, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Supervise subcontractors and direct labour during civils and infrastructure works.
  • Coordinate with design teams, site management, and local authorities.
  • Maintain records, daily diaries, QA documentation, and as-built drawings.
  • Ensure that health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are upheld on-site.
  • Assist with planning and resource scheduling to meet project deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Site Engineer role on residential housing developments.
  • Strong experience in setting out using GPS, total stations, and levels.
  • In-depth knowledge of Uisce Éireann procedures and standards.
  • Experience managing or coordinating groundworks and utility crews.
  • Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Full driving licence.
