Quantity Surveyor - Co Leitrim 

We are a progressive construction firm with a strong presence across the west of Ireland, delivering high-quality residential housing schemes and commercial developments. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline across Counties Leitrim and Roscommon, we are seeking an Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team.

Role Summary

The Intermediate Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for assisting in the full commercial management of building projects from procurement through to final account. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost plans, budgets, and bills of quantities (BOQs) for residential and commercial building projects.

Procure subcontractors and suppliers in line with project budgets and schedules.

Prepare and evaluate tender documentation; issue recommendations for award.

Carry out on-site measurement and valuation of works.

Monitor project costs, cash flow forecasts, and cost reporting.

Prepare interim valuations, final accounts, and change control documentation.

Assess and manage variations, claims, and subcontractor payments.

Assist in contract administration and ensure adherence to building contract conditions (GCCC, RIAI, etc.).

Liaise closely with project managers, site teams, and design professionals to ensure cost-effective project delivery.

Support value engineering exercises and cost-saving opportunities where required.

Candidate Requirements

BSc in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years' post-graduate experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on residential and/or commercial building projects in Ireland.

Good knowledge of standard Irish forms of contracts.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating or QS software such as Buildsoft, Cubit, or CostX.

Excellent numeracy, communication, and negotiation skills.

Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to local project sites as required
