Civil Engineer - Cork

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer with a strong background in wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) projects to support the planning, design, and execution of infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery of projects from conception through to commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the end-to-end delivery of WWTP projects (new builds, upgrades, or maintenance).

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including design engineers, contractors, and environmental specialists.

Prepare and review engineering designs, P&IDs, technical drawings, and specifications.

Conduct site inspections and oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.

Assist in procurement, contractor evaluation, and vendor coordination.

Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules; escalate risks as needed.

Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and permit conditions.

Prepare documentation including reports, risk assessments, and handover packages.

Contribute to commissioning and startup activities, including troubleshooting and performance testing.

Support client meetings, technical discussions, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering (or related field).

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in wastewater treatment plant design, construction, or operation.

Experience working with relevant codes and regulations 

Proficient in using engineering software tools (AutoCAD, MS Project, WaterCAD, or similar).

Previous site-based or EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) experience is an asset.
