Senior Engineer

The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating on-site engineering, quality, and technical aspects. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative, fast-track projects using modern construction methods.

Responsibilities

• Set out works on site in line with project drawings and specifications.
• Manage all engineering aspects of the project, including levels, surveying, and quality checks.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and current building regulations.
• Work closely with the project team to plan, coordinate, and deliver works on time and within budget.
• Liaise with design, production, and site management teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality requirements.
• Maintain site records, including daily logs, quality documentation, and as-built information.
• Support continuous improvement in construction and installation methods.
• Contribute to technical reviews and quality assurance during the off-site manufacturing process.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience, with good knowledge of the construction sector or experience within a project-based organisation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present reports in a clear, objective, and persuasive manner.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, professionally, and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.

Qualifications 

• Degree or Diploma in Engineering.
• SMSTS or equivalent site management qualification.
• Valid First Aid certification.
• Lifting Supervisor certification.
• Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) training.
• Chartered Engineer status, or working towards professional accreditation with a recognised engineering institution.
