Job Description
Senior Engineer
The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating on-site engineering, quality, and technical aspects. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative, fast-track projects using modern construction methods.
Responsibilities
- Set out works on site in line with project drawings and specifications.
- Manage all engineering aspects of the project, including levels, surveying, and quality checks.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and current building regulations.
- Work closely with the project team to plan, coordinate, and deliver works on time and within budget.
- Liaise with design, production, and site management teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
- Supervise subcontractors and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality requirements.
- Maintain site records, including daily logs, quality documentation, and as-built information.
- Support continuous improvement in construction and installation methods.
- Contribute to technical reviews and quality assurance during the off-site manufacturing process.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience, with good knowledge of the construction sector or experience within a project-based organisation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and present reports in a clear, objective, and persuasive manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, professionally, and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.
Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering.
- SMSTS or equivalent site management qualification.
- Valid First Aid certification.
- Lifting Supervisor certification.
- Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) training.
- Chartered Engineer status, or working towards professional accreditation with a recognised engineering institution.
